The thruthiest truth to ever truth.
4 days out and so far:
1. Our wedding bands haven’t arrived. Apparently USPS has lost them. They were sent priority on Wednesday, should have been here Sat at the latest.
2. I’m fairly certain that I have poison ivy on my nose. So, there’s that. Nooo idea how that happened to my nose!!!
3. The distributer that we ordered 100 ranunculus from called today to tell me that the plane they were on was fumigated because they found bones or something on it?? I don’t know, but the ranunculus are probably out of the equation.
HOWEVER: they are replacing them with 100 peonies and working on getting some ranunculus as well. BEST. FLOWER. PEOPLE. EVER.

I have a headache for you 🙁

@Roe: Well, at least it sounds like you lucked out on number 3 🙂

They found bones? WTH?
I’m sorry. It’s getting down to the wire, so I’m sure you’re stressed as ever. Take a deep breath. It will all work out and your day will be amazing!

Hang in there, girlie. You will get through.
Did the person sending the rings get a tracking number for them?
And, hopefully the poison ivy will clear up between now and Saturday! It usually only lasts a few days, right?

Yikes! I am sending good karma your way for this weekend!
Side note: what flower company did you use? I am DIY-ing my flowers and looking for a company with good customer service!

Umm… let me just say that you seem to be handling this WAY better than anyone I’ve ever met EVER. I hope your wedding is perfect and beautiful and NOT stressful. Go drink a big glass of wine, eat an entire chocolate bar, and do the humpty-hump. You’ll feel better I promise!

holy heavens! I hope things all straighten out STAT – and get some calamine lotion on that nose!

Words to live by.

Peonies are beautiful. Hang in there. You are so close!!
I hope your bands arrive in time.

@mightywombat: lol TRUTH! This is how I reduce stress. Some people have yoga, I have booze 😛

Sounds like you have a good attitude about it all. It’s going to be great. Worst case scenario: you get a couple stand-in cheap rings, wear a good foundation and you carry a gorgeous peony bouquet. Can’t wait to hear about it!

You are handling this all amazingly well. Kudos to you!
@mightywombat: Thankfully the boss stepped out for lunch so when I snorted out a stifled laugh no one heard me.

It is amazing how in the end everything just works out. And peonies, yes please!
As a recent bride I know it is hard to relax but give it your best effort. Address those things you can fix (like your nose….get some calamine stat!) and just do what you can with those things you can’t.
Best of luck and it will turn out beautiful, guaranteed!

Hahah, thanks everyone. After I melted down crying yesterday for about four hours about a lodging issue that was later resolved by my sister (amazing girl,) I can’t help but laugh at this stuff now.
I’ve had the rash on my hand for a couple weeks and have been doing any and all home treatments I can find and it seems to be ok. It didn’t blister or elevate past the “annoying” level, so hopefully my nose will be just as lucky.
@Mrs. Fireworks: Flower Muse. Reasonable prices, found them on off-beat bride.
@mightywombat: Yes! But apparently when she called they postal worker told her status updates were “optional!” ?!?
