It gets better! This is a common first trimester symptom.

First trimester I was soooooooooooo sleepy.  My husband would laugh because on the weekends we’d be doing a bunch of stuff and I’d say OK, I’m just going to rest for a minute and 2 hours later I’d wake up from my nap.  I’m now in my last month and nothing has compared to the first trimester sleepiness (though it did last most of the first trimester).

oh man, the first trimester exhaustion is the worst.  It was so overwhelming for me I would come home from work at 4 and nap till 8, go to the gym (I forced myself) then go to bed by 10:30 and get up at 6:30.  I was ALWAYS sleeping.  I even had to take naps before I drove home from work some days.  (I curled up under a desk in an empty office lol) The other days werent so bad.)  But it does get better, I promise.  The overwhelming exhaustion started before I got my BFP and lasted until maybe like week 11, then it was just exhaustion until week 14, then it went away for the most part.  Now Im in week 27 and am just tired.

When your second trimester hits you’ll feel so much better. The first is very exhausting, it’s as if you have the flu. Just take it easy, listen to your body and rest lots.

oh man, i could have never imagined how tired i would be in the first trimester! i feel like the general public always talks about morning sickness but no one ever says anything about fatigue! i was sleeping 12 hours a night and couldn’t stay up past 9 or 10. i was so tired at times it would make me feel nauseated 🙁 but i definitely have more energy in the 2nd trimester – for me it started to ease up around week 9 or 10. just take it as easy as possible and let yourself sleep as much as you want!

Fatigue was my biggest pregnancy symptom.  Sleep as much as you need to!  If anyone gives you a hard time about it, remind that that you are growing another person inside of you – that takes a lot of energy!

That was my first sign that something was going on with me. I am usually on the go, and here i was falling asleep during the day. Took a test at home and found out i was preggo. Now i am 8 weeks and i feel a little more energetic.
