SO ive been posting about what i think is THE ring! Yay! right?? not so much right now….ive been trying to find out more information on the seller since its an etsy seller….well I can only find the designer on etsy and two other sites….he has only 30 feed backs on etsy for 100% but in a previous blog i posted i noticed that there was another shop with really similiar rings that had the same amounth of reviews also for 100% feedback…the other sites i can find the seller only has 2-3 sales and no reviews….so heres the deal the reviews i can find seem a little off for regular people to be writing them and almost sound like an advertisement (commercial)….and are really similiar to the other sellers as well…so here is the issue….its ALOT of money to us….and we LOVE the ring….but are scared of getting ripped off….seller does not communicate very much short and simple awnsers more so about pricing….and not much else….so we are a little frightened of getting ripped off here….or getting a lemon of a ring….also he has only the generated pics of the rings no IRL photos….
So ladies…im at a cross roads….what do i do….do we chance it??? or play it safe with a more known seller????
any help would be appreciated!
and for refrence….here she is….

I wouldn’t buy it unless they had actual photos of it to show, personally. And even then I’d be a bit wary.

Have you tried messaging any of the folks who have left reviews on etsy? If you’re worried about whether the reviews are for real, you can get try to get in touch with them and see if they are actual people.
Looks like he has a good return policy though. Maybe look into the process of filing a dispute through PayPal or doing a charge-back with your credit card so that you’re prepared just in case things go wrong.

Check out pricescope and see if anyone there can help you out with references.

I’ve seen that ring posted here a lot on the bee, so hopefully someone can give you some good feedback. Best of luck!

I say, you should take the picture to a jewler that does custom work, and have them do it!! I’m not sure where you live, but if it is near Chicago, there are great jewlers on Jewler’s row downtown.

1) does the seller have any negative reviews? If he was selling crap, someone would have definitely spoken up.
2) can you buy with PayPal? They offer a lot of protection against getting ripped off.

recently there was a thread about this a few months ago-
This etsy designer needs more attention! AMAZING rings…
no one seems to know why he hasn’t posted pictures, etc.
someone on that thread posted a (crappy) picture of a ring she bought from him, but i get the feeling she’s a troll…

I second Happilyevaafter5‘s suggestion to take the picture to a local jeweler who does custom work and talk to that person about doing something similar.

While the designer has some beautiful CAD images, they don’t have any photos, which is suspicious. I’ve also seen that seller spam around here. I agree with going to a jeweler and seeing if they can make something at all similar.

I would go with your gut. If something seems fishy, then stay away!

So I emailed him, and asked about warranty and asked for pictures of the ring IRL….and here is what I got in response!
We have 1 year warranty. If you need repair or re sizing the ring just ship it to us and we will fix it for free.
We have 100% money back guarantee within 7 days of receiving the ring.
Sorry we don’t have the actual photos of the ring.
Please read our feedback:
which is about word for word verbatum what ive seen other posters put about him sending them…
so idk he wont give me actual pics of the rings and i cannot find them anywhere….and i can only find a few sites where he is…and what reviews i can find are REALLY similiar….
anyone know of any other reviews for him, or places to find them….
