I am sooooo upset… we hardly have any photos of immediate family together…. actually none… just a few random pics of each of us or bro with wife, me and hubby etc….none all together….its our fault for not compiling the list properly really.. I feel so sad as although I had bridesmaids I decided to do everything with my mum!! Theres no photo of me and her together and the family photos are everyone in family not parents on own etc… has anyone ever used photoshop? Could I try merge two photos together? Its cheating I know but im too upset to let it go. I live in scotland and we dont do the trash the dress thing you guys do so no opportunity for more photos… my parents are upset too and prob husbands fmaily are too? Me and my mum cried!!! I just feel sad as it was a stunning day but I feel so gutted and guilty 🙁 could just cry xx

@stars11: There’s nothing wrong with you! I totally have similar feelings some days. Even 9 months after our wedding, I still have trouble getting over the fact that my some of my bridesmaids never plan on being friends ever again. Weddings are just taxing on a lot of people especially when it’s not their own wedding day. Makes it really hard on the bride herself, especially when all she wants is for everyone to get along and just behave themselves!
You’ll be okay. Just try to focus on the happy things. 🙂

Have you talked to your photographer about this? Did you provide them with a shot list of photos you wanted to capture?

You could ask your photographer to photoshop some people in, if it will make you really happy. Or a student at your local community college. (Depending on the money you want to spend.) Maybe ask other guests if they took any pictures, usually those can be equally as amazing. So many people seem to be budding photographers now anyways, with DSLR’s and such. 🙂
Just because it may not be the norm to do a ‘trash the dress’ shoot in your area most photographers are ecstatic about being able to try something that is different compared to the standard requests. If you have the budget for it, you could hire someone and provide them with the images you want.
Overall, don’t feel guilty.
