@alyssaC:  I think you should wait.  No point in rushing a wedding that you want when you could save up for it instead.  I totally get wanting to marry your Fiance asap, but I would rather wait.  I’m going to have a somewhat long engagement (1 1/2years and I’m 28, so I’ll be almost 30), but I think it’s worth it to have the wedding that I want and have it convenient for my guests to save up (looking like a destination wedding).  I think of it this way – I have the rest of my life to be married to him, what’s the point in rushing this great time of being engaged????

@alyssaC:  Personally, I would wait…and I am! Fiance and I are having a (unplanned) 4 year engagment because he decided to go back to school almost a year ago and it took me longer to find a job after grad school than I had hoped. I would use the time to get a handle on what you can get for your budget in your area, and hopefully snag some of your preffered vendors early,

Have your summer wedding and enjoy being engaged and “practicing” all of the life and relationship skills that you’ll need for marriage. You’ll enjoy your planning process much more once you’re not in school, too.
