i honestly think that infinity dresses would be PERFECT for bridesmaids! it’s a dress that they could actually find plently of times and places to wear again, and there is bound to be a method of wearing it that would be flattering on each person. they could actually get their money’s worth out of it.

The BMs at my son’s wedding had Infinity dresses, and loved them!

I ordered samples of similar dresses from Victoria Secret and from Henkaa. I have two Bridesmaid or Best Man who are really tiny and they loved the dresses. However, my Maid/Matron of Honor who is about a size 14 did not find it flattering at all. Another consideration is if you have Bridesmaid or Best Man with large chests they are very hard to cover bras and big chested girls have trouble wearing strapless.

Hope that helps, I had great hope for them because I thought they would be really nice and re-wearable but they didn’t end up working out for us.

My bridesmaids had a moment of panic, but with some experimenting and video tutorials, most loved them in the end.  The one that didn’t…well, she had other issues.  On the other hand, I had another bridesmaid who made it a point to keep changing her dress throughout the day–she had a blast! A lot of our guest complimented them as well.
I second that they do need good undergarments, and the tube tops that are often sold with (or at least, through where I ordered them on Etsy) were a great investment so “the girls” were covered.

We ordered dresses from Dalina of etsy. MY girls were of all shapes and sizes and I think that the infinity wrap dress worked well with all of them. (And I am pretty sure that they all loved them.)

However, some forethought is required. Good undergarments are necessary and there are certain styles that would be more supportive/flattering for certain shapes. It is something that needs to be planned in advance- not just something that you do the day of. But I think it is a great idea and it can work very well for plus sized ladies.

I know there are several kinds of infinity dress and as a Bridesmaid or Best Man I wore one very similar to the photo in your link (ordered from amazon.com). I was a size 10 and wore a size M, I found it to be very flattering and easy to wear, however it is hard to wear a bra with. A similar sized Bridesmaid or Best Man who has larget breasts really had a problem finding a style that both flattered and covered enough of her bra. The part that would be the waist band if it were worn as a skirt is the top part of a strapless dress and while it accomodates a B-C cup it’s really not big enough for larger chests so if you are going through etsy, I would see if you can customize the proportions on a plus size dress. For that matter, we didn’t find the sizing to matter at all between the 4 of us, we ranged in size from 2-12 and all fit the size M or L the same, only the sz. 2 had a small in the end. It can also be very clingy depending on how you wear it, I still wore SPANX under mine to avoid the clingyness a bit. Ultimately, I would get your plus sized girls to try one on and let you know what they think of it. Also, as PP mentioned, make sure everyone trys different ways to tie it ahead of time and has a plan on how they intend to wear it before the big day.

ETA: I don’t want that to sound negative, I like the dress and have since worn it both on my honeymoon and as a skirt more casually.
