Maui! We are so excited. My fiance has never been anywhere tropical before! I can’t wait to see the look on his face! 🙂
We are staying in a time share condo so we can cook some of our meals to save. I booked our flights with air miles and out inter-island tickets were only $70 round trip per person.
We are planning to golf, eat good, food, lay on the beach, and get new tattoos on our last day!

I hear all the ladies out there that are struggling with the budget portion of the honeymoon! We were going to take a short trip to a nearby "big" city and then do a "real" honeymoon later, but FH won a trip to South Padre Island, TX through his work. Neither of us have been there before so we’re making it into our honeymoon. It isn’t what we would have picked, but it’s free!

Oh so many interesting trips. I’m so glad to hear from everybody. We just booked the Excellence Riveria Cancun. we also toyed around with some vegas fun too! But all in all we opted to splurge – I doubt we’ll do any big trips for years to come!!
Thank you guys for responding!!

We’re going to aruba. We were thinking Italy, but didn’t want to spend our honeymoon on that much of a schedule, plus that is $$. So aruba is budget friendly, hurricane free (hopefully!) with beautiful beaches. OH, I can’t wait!!

I am not sure what we are going to do.
Neither of us are really big beach people. We were going to go to London, but airfare is pretty high and the dollar is so weak there right now.
I’d love to go to another country, but I also don’t want to go into huge debt for this. (I had a woman tell me how her and her husband used all of their wedding gift money on their honeymoon and how she regreted it so much because you can always go on a trip).
So we’re thinking maybe going to Boston and Maine. I’ve never been to Boston but he has and he loves it there. Neither of us have ever been to Maine, but we’ve both wanted to go. Â

St. Barts! And we are staying at the Eden Rock! Can’t wait!!
Karieck05 I went to Turks and Caicos last April. We stayed at the Palms. I have to say it was the nicest Island and the best trip I have ever been on. I been to about 5 other caribean Islands and nothing beat Turks. The beach was the nicest, the service at the hotel was amazing and the food was sooooo good! If you go you have to book a dinner at a place called Gracie’s Cottage. Best meal I have ever had. It really spoiled me for other Islands. I hope St. Barts lives up to Turks. If you are really considering going let me know and I can send you some pictures of our hotel.

we want a relaxing beach vacation. BUT…. to mix it up, as we are on the east coast & love train travel, we are doing a cross-country, city-hopping amtrak tour for the first week to cali, then flying to hawaii for a week from there. we CANNOT wait!! we have lived and traveled in europe & vacationed in mexico, africa, all the big US cities, etc (not asia yet, though) but neither of us has been to hawaii or traveled the US by ground. plus with the dollar so low its a great time to stay in the states. still havent narrowed down the cities to stop in yet so if you have any ideas, let me know!

We’re going to Greece. I have to admit I am kind of bummed about it since we were planning to go to Tahiti and Bora Bora, but it would be a FORTUNE for us to go for as long as we want, and since we’ll be living apart post-marriage, we want to spend as much time together on the trip as possible. Basically, it came down to the fact that we could afford 9 nights in Tahiti, or 15 nights in Greece. So, Greece it is.

Well we ended up booking ARUBA, b/c we are getting married in October, and its hurricane season!!!! We couldnt really afford anywhere to exotic, so Aruba it is!
