I could not find anyone that I had really liked. So a friend recomended this girl to me. She did my friends wedding and she had cute pictures and my budget is tight so I don’t have the money to spend on a photographer. You can search her on facebook: Heather Gibbons Photography

You can also search her in google, she has a blog.

You can check out our photographer @ http://www.jenharris.net.  I wouldn’t consider her especially “vintage” and she is located in Ventura County, but travels all over.  I also feel she is very reasonably priced.

Any photographer should be able to do non-vintage – all that the photogs do to make the photos vintage is run a Photoshop action. If you really love the eye of a photog but want non-vintage, i’d just talk to them about doing a different type of post-processing!

@Cola262: One of my bridesmaids actually knows that photog. She did family pictures for her. No idea how much she charges though.

@Cola262: Ugh, I SO agree! This vintage fad has almost completely overtaken the photography industry and I’m so glad I’m not the only one who is starting to get annoyed by it. Too many special effects are a cheesy way of salvaging images that aren’t strong enough to stand on their own in full, true color IMO. I sort of hope it goes down in flames like selective coloring did in the next year or so. Too harsh? 😛

I am not into the vintage look, I don’t really think I would look back on those and be happy that they look so old.  Check out my photographer jasonburnsphotography.com.
