The Beverly Hills Garland Hotel was nice (can’t remember how much greenery there was). I also loved the University Club in Pasadena. Gorgeous patio/garden venue!!! Also, check out Wedgewood. They have tons of venues all over SoCal, and most of them have the vibe you’re looking for.

My cousin got married at Craven Estate in Pasadena and had the ceremony and cocktail hour and dinner outside and then dancing inside. It was really pretty!

One thing that was helpful to me was to follow wedding planners or photographer on Instagram for the area I was looking at, or even hashtags for #losangeleswedding or wherever you’re thinking. You’ll find more venue options that way too.

I’m not sure where in southern california you are, but the Cerritos Library is an incredible value.  The receptoin space is a typical ball room but the ceremony is on a rooftop patio with lots of trees surrounding.

I’d also suggest The Ahmanson Senior Center as it has a garden courtyard.

Neither of these are rustic but they are good values and have outdoor components.

ritsuko :

The Ahmanson Senior Center is in Los Angeles close to downtown.  The Cerritos Library is like 30 to 40 min down the 405.

I would recommend Descanso Gardens, The Culver Hotel, Downtown Public Library, Perch and the Long Beach Museum of art.  The LBMA was my first choice and it’s amazing.
