@linguo42: i have a family member that brings tupperware to big family means (chiristmas/thanksgiving/easter/reunions etc)  and load them up BEFORE everyone starts to get their food.

@Lee_Ann: O_O  Unless this person was certifiably crazy, I would say something! Or I would change the way meals were served.  🙂

@jo.lee:  Haha, this totally reminded me of my grandmother.  She is on the opposite end though.  She brings stuff WITH her in her purse.  Her latest is that she thinks she’s clever for using Truvia and she wants everyone to know it.  She always brings the little packets with her and no matter what she drinks, even if it is just water, she will put Truvia in it.  And then ask everyone else if they want some, loudly and multiple times.  Do I want sugar water?  Haha, no thanks!

@OP:  But about the guests…sorry you got stuck with those rude lame-os!!  The junk email suggestion is kind of funny though.

@Tunacupcakes: well, she’s done it as far as i can remember, but no, she’s not legitimately insane.  But she is, as my grandma would say “a little backwards”.  It started out different, when i was little i remember her taking left overs when everyone was putting things away, which isn’t a big deal because my grandma/mom/aunts always makes 10 times more than we need.  But she slowly got worse and worse.  Sometimes she sits her kids at the table and has them eat before EVERYBODY else (even while my grandma and mom are still cooking other things)  and, no, these kids are not 2 or 3 years old.  They are 15 and 17.  It’s been going on WAY too long for anything to be said.  And besides, if she stopped, we wouldn’t have anything to talk about later on lol.

Ugh! This is the exact reason I’m not having a buffet! I’ve seen this kind of behavior before too….A few years ago my FH’s sister got married and they had a heavy appetizers buffet reception. We had to stay behind at the church for photos and once we showed up, the only appetizers left were cold veggies! Seriously, ALL the food is gone within 1.5 hours? I sat at a table with FH’s cousins and other family and they all had multiple plates, full of tons of chicken wing bones and other half-eaten food. It was pretty off-putting. People can be so greedy!
