Yes, except I’ve injured Mr. LK in my sleep. I feel so bad about it, but I have no control over it. It’s usually my elbows that cause the trouble. oops

No real injuries, however, I used to have horrible nightmares and once screamed.  Full out, bloody murder scream.  Scared the CRAP out of Fiance.  I rolled over and went back to sleep.  He didn’t.  Embarassed

@echolove:  FH punched me in the arm in his sleep one night and we just laughed about it. I kick the shit out of him when I sleep, so I probably deserved it haha

@echolove:  Mr. 99 is the king of the Sleep Punch, he also does the Soccer Mom Arm around 2 am every night to make sure I’m still there…honestly?  If he doesn’t do it on time, I wake up….so it’s fine, because I’ve seen the bruises on his legs….apparently I kick like a mule.

Aww. That sort of thing happens though. So I’d just tell people what happened and they’ll be understanding!

ETA: Especially if you sort of laugh about it as you’re telling people what happened. They’ll realize it’s not very serious and was, of course, an accident.

I kick/punch/hit Darling Husband pretty regularly in my sleep. I also have PTSD, though not from the military, so he understands. 🙂

… I was hoping that’s what the text of your post would say!

Fiance did that to me once too. Not right in the eye but more like socked me in the ear/jaw. He was dead asleep.

He also winded me once by not looking behind him before stretching his back (yes, apparently he stretches quite enthusiastically). I was literally winded…actually wheezing. He got me right in the diaphragm. He was very sheepish and apologetic.

My Fiance used to have really bad night terrors for the first 6 months or so that we lived together. Any little noise or sudden move could startle him, and he raised his fist to me a few times but never actually punched me. I may have caught a stray elbow or a back hand here and there, but as time went on he calmed down and the night terrors became less frequent. We are down to about once every 3 months now. He always feels horrible when he does it!

My fiance had a mysterious bruise on his arm.  Mysterious until we lined it up with my ring and realized I had sleep punched him!  His Dr. asked about it, and he totally deadpanned it and said that I beat him.  Which is the same response he had when he slipped and fell in the shower and I rushed him to the ER for a concussion.  The Dr. asked if he felt safe in his home, he pointed at me and said ‘she beats me every day Doc’.  He ALMOST got the full sentence out without laughing.

Hahaha, this thread is hilarious. I have so many stories from friends about this sort of thing.

I elbowed Darling Husband in the eye once, and I think he’s done the same. The shock is bigger than the pain, that’s for sure!

Also… this isn’t a pain-related thing, but it’s pretty funny, so I’ll tell it anyway. Every now and then, Darling Husband has dreams that scare him pretty bad and he starts breathing heavily (like he’s been running or something) and occasionally he sleep walks (like once or twice). Well, one time, he really freaked out. Had some crazy dream where he thought he heard people with guns (or maybe they were just bad guys? I don’t remember) pounding on our door downstairs. He SHOT out of bed, waking me up, ran to our bedroom door, locked it, and ran back to the bed, JUMPED in, and pulled the covers over his head. I realized what happened, and just held him tight, which usually calms him down.

Why am I telling this particular story? Because after it all, I had to try really hard not to laugh, because he was completely nakie while running around, defending our house! 🙂

I got a black eye once.  Not by FH, but by a girl on an opposing soccer team.  It was an accident.  At the time I worked for a grocery store and had to deal with customers.  A customer had the balls to ask me if my bf did that to me.  I politely told her no and said it was by playing soccer and she totally didn’t believe me.  I hope it doesn’t bruise!  Otherwise you’ll have to explain it to everyone that sees it!

Not my Fiance, but my sister once punched me square in the eye while we were sharing a bed on vacation. She was like 9 years old and dead asleep but it was still a helluva punch. Luckily I didn’t get a bruise!
