Haha my SO and I were just talking about this the other night. I’ve said soda my whole life, and so has my SO, but he met these people that said pop and he has decided that “sounds cooler” so he now says pop. He also likes to say “sody pop”. haha

Soda or coke. Never pop. A pop is a lollipop or a frozen popsicle.

From the south and it’s always “coke” and then you specify what kind.

My dad calls it pop, my mom calls it soda, and I have always called it “Soda Pop” so I voted for “other?” In fact, right now I am drinking a soda pop. Breakfast of champions right here.

    Pop!  I’m from Michigan ๐Ÿ™‚

But after being in NYC for 5 years, I find myself slipping and calling it soda sometimes, because half the time people have no idea what i mean when I say pop!  Hmph!

I call it soda (I’ve lived all over, but I think I may have picked that up in VA), but I live in the South and everyone here calls it coke.
