I thought about doing that too…..I went to the website to read about them and saw the diagrams for how to insert – seemed way more difficult/scarier than a tampon and I wussed out.

I didn’t use SoftCups, but I did use my Diva cup a few times – no idea if it made any difference, because it’s not as shallow as the Instead Softcups (doesn’t hold the semen as close to the cervix), but I figured it couldn’t hurt (and I got pregnant…so it might have helped!).

I used it the cycle I got pregnant. Not sure if it helped or not, but I say it can’t hurt to try!

I’ve never used SoftCups for that purpose, but I am a religious SoftCup user and I’ve rarely had any leaks and it’s super comfy to sleep with. I imagine for the amount of time the sperm is viable, it would provide a well-sealed barrier.

jouissance:  I got a BFP my first month using them. Wasnt a successful pregnancy due to my cycles but I will definitely be using them next time! I put them in right after and wore them for 12 hrs. Couldn’t even tell one was in.

jouissance:  I tried them last cycle – no joy with a BFP, but they were much easier to put in than I thought they’d be, and not at all uncomfortable. As PPs have said – can’t hurt to try!
