mrstopaz : I watched a bunch of YouTube tutorials about wiring things and a bunch about floral arrangements. But it was nice to have a few other sets of eyes to decide what looked good! Amd there was definitely some trial and error involved. I think altogether I spent about $80 on all the supplies.

I’m on my laptop now so I can post more photos of the ones I made. I used cheap foam bouquet holders off ebay for the bridesmaids and bought a bigger better one with a see through handle for mine (it was about $20 I think). If I did them again, I would probably dip the wire in glue before sticking it into the foam as we had some issues with the flowers falling out during the day.
It’s a bit of trial and error and A LOT of patience to do them but once you get inspo to work off and watch a few flower arrangement tutes on youtube it’s pretty easy

mrstopaz : I made 5 LARGE (31″ around) bouquets. At a guess we used maybe a total of 300 -350 flowers in the bouquets, and they probably cost $100-$150 USD. Some of the greenery came from ebay and was dirt cheap, like $1 a piece. Some of the leaves came from Koch & Co and probably cost $30 total, that included leaves for our ceremony floral arrangements too. I bought sample pots of paint for $5 each (used about 6 colours I think). The 22gauge wire was pretty cheap off ebay as well, maybe $10.

mrstopaz : They look nice to me! I travelled for my wedding and by the time my bouquet made it home, it didn’t look so great. So I would have loved to have something I could keep forever!
