Having them soldered would be the best option in my opinion.

SnowInApril:  I had the exact same problem. My band is a shared prog and it scratched up the metal on my ering. I got a spacer. I tried a 1mm band at first, but it looked odd with the higher, thicker bands…like a big dip in the middle. So I wear comparable sized spacers (I intchergange various ones).

A spacer is definitely a cheaper option to try out.  Don’t worry about the scratching. It’s impossible to know how to rings will wear together. I know someone who put a  very thin plain band between the two rings and it looks great and stopped the damage to her ering.
