Mine is set in a milgrain bezel with 3 micropave diamonds on each side and kind of scroll basket.

I like the hidden halo look. Stone is is held with double claw prongs.

longtimemrs :  As you know I adore your ring! It’s what started me on my search for a LBT over a year ago. I’m thinking of an oval or pear in a simple bezel setting. I’m actually thinking of having one made because I can’t find what I’m looking for anywhere.  Your stone is beautiful! The deep rich color in it is absolutely gorgeous!

noseynat :  Oh, wow! That is high praise, indeed. Thank you very much. Have you found a stone yet? I love my stone for its color, but I know the cut isn’t the greatest. It isn’t horrible, but it’s not fabulous, either. It was one of my first loose gemstone purchases.

I think it might actually end up being easier and cheaper for you to go custom with your ring. I see hardly any LBT in rose gold on the internet, although I run across settings of it on Etsy from time to time. I don’t think I’ve seen any LBT set in rose gold in real life. In real life, I hardly ever see rose gold at all. A custom piece might end up being cheaper, depending on where you go for it. It sounds like you want a relatively simple setting. It was a few  years ago, but my solitaire was less than 1K to have made. That includes the cost of the stone.

longtimemrs :   I’m pretty sure I’ll have to go the design route, I’ve got a couple of etsy jewelers in mind to run it by. I have a rose gold set already, but the ering has a lot of small pave in it and I would like something more durable for every day wear, that’s why I was thinking a bezel setting. I also love the look of a nice simple plain bezel setting with a plain band. I have a white gold set and a couple of yellow gold sets also, but my rose gold band was actually my dads band and so I’d love to have an every day ring to go with it so I can wear it more. I love the look of rose gold gold too, it has such a nice tone to it that really appeals to me. I have a friend with a champagne gold set and it’s really gorgeous! I know next to nothing about gemstones so finding a loose stone might be a challenge, although I’m not particularly picky either- if it’s sparkly I’ll love it, haha!

Oh my gosh, I loved that Tacori ring! I would have got but they didn’t do the oval setting. I got this instead.

I was also torn when looking at engagement rings. I wanted a solitaire but was also drawn to more detailing too.  I saw this setting and loved it because it had a little bit of everything.  Can’t wait to see what you pick!
