How many ladies have the more trendy pieces of the danity rings??
I see a lot of erings bands getting thinner and thinner. A large stone and thinner band look.
how do you ladies feel about this? How thick is you band??
I got my ring custom made and the salesman reccommended not going any thinner than 1.9/2.0
althought I do see rings for sale for 1.5/1.6
do you like the dainty look?

I think it depends on the size of the main stone and the length of your fingers. I like the dainty look but have long fingers so I wanted a wider band so the band didn’t get lost on my finger. Also, if you’re getting pave in the band, I think no less than 2.0 mm is recommended. Mine is 2.6mm and I wouldn’t change a thing! Center stone is 1.23 carats.

I hopped on that trend! No regrets! My diamond is 2.23 carats and my band is 1.5mm- size 5. it’s so comfortable and I love the look.

with my wedding band- also 1.5mm, diamond eternity

You can do which ever thickness you want if your doing custom as long as the designer is willing
The thinner you go the more likely you are to have warping
So they recommend no thinner that 1.8mm -2mm

I’m not a fan of super thin bands, especially with a larger stone – it just looks unbalanced to me. The thinnest I would go with is 2.5 mm, but it’s a personal preference. I like the look, plus it looks better on my hand.

Me on the other hand is the opposite and love the wider look. Mine is 2.06 carats on a 5mm band and i love it and wont change it for anything. Plus, its very comfortable.

I actually love thin bands. I have quite small hands myself, with quite short fingers, so I would have gone thinner, but I never mentioned band width to my now-fiance, and it is perfectly proportioned, especially when you see it on his hand:
I think it is a lot more classic and timeless than the much thinner band I would have chosen – plus I love it because my fiance chose it himself.

These dainty band solitaires are beautiful! Mine is dainty in my opinion but not too much. It is a 2mm band which tapers to 1.8mm at the diamond.

In my experience, reputable jewelers don’t recommend going under 1.8mm for plain or 2mm for pave for durability. Mine is 1.8mm knife edge, which makes it appear thinner. I prefer to stay between 1.8-2mm to allow extra finger room for stacking.

I like when the diamond pops, but I agree with the PP that said too thin of a band with too big of a diamond looks unbalanced. I like rings to look dainty but I also want them to have some substance so they feel high quality to me. I have a size 5 ring and a 1.15ct diamond on a 2.5mm knife edge, I wouldn’t go thinner because I like the proportion of diamond to metal. Definitely personal preference!

yes I tried on a 2.2 and it fit very comfortable. Felt high quality like you say.
I’ve always liked danity jewelry like the jewelry Meghan markle wears, I see she recent customized her ring again and made it even thinner 😍 it’s definitely has been a trend lately.
