How about a pave solitaire? That way you have some extra bling but not too much with the halo

I’m personally not a huge fan of halo’s, and have a solitaire, so that’s my bias. But I love that second inspiration picture of the solitaire. I love that they are quite simple and then you can add fun bands – it sounds like you might be planning to stack already since you mentioned wearing your promise ring, you can add another fun wedding band for more bling!

I’m not a fan of the square halo, to me it reminds me of every other ring I’ve seen everyone get that’s been engaged this decade. I’m not a halo hater, I actually have a halo in a unique assymetrical design, but this style of halo just makes me think “typical”. While lots of people get solitaires they are more classic. Personally I’d do a classic solitaire since you already have your promise ring, and presumably a wedding band will be added to make a nice blingy stack. That style of halo can also be hard to stack with or look off to me personally.

That said: if you love the halo get it!! Don’t worry about the halo haters or it being a trendier style right now, you love what you love and you shouldn’t feel bad about that!

I voted for plain solitaire. I have one and add different ring wraps and stackable bands to change up the look!
