@maudemaisha: I dont have an answer for you but I pretty much posed the SAME question but for 1.5-2mm width. We are always focused on the carat size of the stone but not the width of band. Something I truly never thought of until now it’s all I think about now that I’ve got the carat size down that I want lol. Craziness. bump bump!

sorry i dont have a ring to post, but I do have a question… I think have relatively large fingers (sz 8) I was wondering if a thinker band, 3 or 3.5mm, would be better for my fingers? Looking forward to seeing more pics!

@bananacar: When i was at the jewellery store trying on rings, the sales associate (who was very knowledgable) said that because i have such small little hands, a thin band would look best.  She said since she has larger hands, thicker bands look best.

@maudemaisha:  You are welcome!…and thanks for the compliment. I love it!

By the way, my ring size is 6.5.  I chose this band because I like the thicker look.  I have longish fingers so it doesn’t look big at all on me.

I recommend going to a jewelry store to try on wedding bands in different widths to help make a decision.  Good luck

I think what matters as more than finger size is finger length.  On long fingers, thicker bands look wonderful, as there’s enough finger to look like the ring didn’t eat it.  I’ve got shorter fingers, and have found thinner bands look better and elongate my fingers a bit more.  When I’ve tried on thicker rings, my fingers look shorter and chubbier than they are.
