Though I have the opposite, I prefer engagement ring shank with diamonds and a plain band, because then if you want to have a day with no bling you can. But you could also have multiple bands πŸ™‚

I chose a plain solitaire so that i could have a blingy band πŸ™‚  That way, IF I choose not to wear my ering for some reason I still have a little bling

I agree with PP about a plain shank and a diamond band, I think that combo is so pretty. And you could get a plain band as well for pretty cheap, that way if you want no bling you have it, and if you want to switch it up and stack them you can. I have a plain band and a diamond band and I love being able to switch them up or wear just the plain band of I don’t want to rock the diamonds!

I prefer a Plain shank solitaire with diamond wedding band because I feel like it’s easier to find compatible weddings bands.

I’m going with plain engagement ring and diamond wedding band. I like the look of a solitaire on a plain band best just because it lets the main diamond stand out! Both are good though, you can’t really go wrong! πŸ™‚

Here’s mine! (ignore my gross nails, my middle finger got cut by the woman at the nail salon!)

jannem:  I hate to threadjack (sorry, OP!) but your wedding band is the Harmony right? Could you take a pic of it from the side? I’m so curious what the profile looks like! Thanks in advance πŸ™‚

ETA: Forgot to mention beautiful set! (was too excited about the Harmony I guess haha)

TheGridMonster:  thanks!! I have the ring hidden away until the wedding so any excuse to bring it out is a good one πŸ˜‰ Not sure exactly the pics you want but let me know if these help. I have to say, it’s really nice from the side. It tapers down smaller so the diamonds get smaller and then the band itself gets much thinner too. It’s super delicate/thin on the palm side. The diamonds continue down pretty far too, so you have to stretch your fingers in a weird way (see photo) to see the plain band at all. It also has a nice little etched design where the diamonds end.

jannem:  Ahhh that is just too gorgeous! Thank you so much!! Could you also take a pic of it like lying flat on a table? I’m curious how much it rises off the finger although it looks from your pics that it’s pretty low (which is great). Sorry to bug you, I promise that’s my last request haha

TheGridMonster:  here you go! πŸ™‚ It is really thin and doesn’t rise much off the finger. It’s actually slightly lower than the band of my engagement ring, which is already pretty low. Hope this pic helps! I can’t wait to wear it every day. Putting it away is sad. Hope you can find your ring soon! Obviously I recommend this one. πŸ˜‰
