I have never considered solitaires to be “timeless” IMO. However, that’s because they are pretty much what everyone had while I was growing up. I associate them with that time period in my life. When I see solitaires in my area these days, they are usually worn by much older women. I have nothing against them, but they aren’t my thing unless they are quite big and dressed up with blingy bands.
