Hey peeps! This is a pointless post but I’m bored at work…
Hubby is having some friends over this evening and I am looking to get out of the house but I’m not sure what I’d like to do. Any suggestions?

I love going to Home Goods by myself because my husband is never as excited as me. I get to browse at my leisure and buy things without getting The Look ๐

This probably seems a little dated, but I love getting some coffee and browsing a bookstore like Barnes and Noble. Actually, wine would be preferrable, but I’m pretty sure they don’t have booze at the classy establishments.

katbee1980: +1,000,000 I was just about to suggest a book store after the mani/pedi I voted for ๐
And I also think a glass of wine is in order for a solo night! And if you do go that route, have one for me since I can’t due to my cold ๐

katbee1980: Omg. I think you just decided it! Haha they unfortunately don’t have wine inside barnes and noble but coffee and looking for a good new book sounds like heaven. I didn’t even think of that!
Thank you ๐

I’m always going to vote for a mani/pedi, it screams pure relaxation to me!

mrs_k616: Sounds amazing!
I used to treat myself to an unwinding ritual: yoga class, then I’d go to main street and buy a $1 vinyl record from the record store, and then go next door, buy a kombucha and taste test some cheese at the cheese counter, and get a tiny hunk to take home.

When I get time to myself away from DH and baby, I take mysef out on a date! I go to my favourite cocktail bar, order a nice drink and maybe a snack. I put on my headphones and read a book enjoy some solitude while simultaneously being in a crowded lounge. It’s the best.

katbee1980: OMFG… LOL, I do this to myself all the time. My husband catches me saying these things that can be wildly taken out of context.
Yeah. I had a thing for short hunky…. pieces of cheese in college.
