@Cluelessbride10:   I’ve gone on cruises by myself before and had fun, but I think I’d need to understand a little more about why your fiance doesn’t want you to go …. if he is having health issues and wants you around, that seems reasonable (his mother should not be involved in either his health issues or your vacation plans so I’m leaving that part alone).

I think you should talk to your FB friend more to catch up/discuss it with her. I mean you will have a ton of time on the cruise to be out of your room so as long as she isn’t crazy then I’d think about her as an option since you know her (I’d pick her over sharing with a stranger for sure!) and it will cut your cost since you’d be splitting the room.

If not I’d say go alone, you are stressed and need time to rest and relax! You have the time off and deserve it. I say do it, regardless of what your Future Mother-In-Law or Fiance says.

Staycation? You can crank up the heat to tropical temperatures in a hotel room, swim in the pool, get a massage, order room service, turn off your cell pone.  Your Fiance could come with you (I’m assuming he can’t fly because of blood clots?). Or you can leave your Fiance at home and relax by yourself.  You won’t have to wait for your sister or put up with a distant Facebook friend.

I’m big on solo travel. I find more freedom in it, and I’m good at making my own fun, are you?  I also don’t get nervous to travel alone, that’s big too. I’ve gone as far as 3000 miles away all by myself. Is it something you think you can handle? Hey, if not- I’ll cruise with you, ha!! 🙂

@Cluelessbride10:  His mom doesn’t get to put her foot down about what you do with your vacation.
