Building off of this post:
Which by the way is an AWESOME list of poems for anything wedding you can think of. I am going to use a camera one. I, however, thought of two of them on my own.
First, this one if for the bubble wands. I wanted to make sure that the guests know it is ok to blow the bubbles at the end of the ceremony:
“When we walk down the aisle as husband and wife, blow these bubbles to wish us a great life.”
Second, I do NOT want any glass clinking (these will go on every table). We are having everyone come up front an demonstrate a kiss for us. FI’s aunt said she will clink anyway. So I took some pieces from other poems and my own creative thinking to come up with this one to try to deter clinking:
“Glasses are for drinking, not for clinking.” -OR-
If you’d love to see us kiss, we’d be happy to abide, but clinking your glass won’t make the groom kiss the bride.
Instead we’ll play a game of “monkey-see, monkey-do”If you kiss your other half, I will kiss mine too.
Don’t be shy, be romantic! This game is suppose to be fun!We don’t want to be the only ones kissing; we want to see you kiss your loved one.
So come on up! Show us how it’s done, and then we will be ableThe kissing platform is where you’ll be seen, in front of the head table.
But if clinking is something clever you still feel the need to do
We will spot another clinker and have that clinker kiss you!
Please feel free to post your own for any favors, invites, etc. Love to hear them!
