Well girls, since my waiting has shifted from “will he?” to “when will he?” (we bought the ring on wednesday) I’ve been spending some time on detective work. Nancy Drew style. The thing is, I don’t want to find the ring. I just want to know if it’s here. when we got it sized, the fine saleswoman put a rush on it because I was jumping up and down with excitement and she was excited for us. She said that SO would be hearing from them in the next “couple days” and gave him a claim ticket along with the receipt. So I was doing some innocent (wink, wink) cleaning up around the house today and oops! his wallet came out of the jeans I was INNOCENTLY taking to the laundry basket and when I looked to make sure nothing had *ahem* fallen out I noticed … No claim ticket. The ring has surely been claimed. It’s here! I know it. I have been acting very cool and natural since we got it (not really) to let him proposal plan in peace. I am just so excited! And happy that my snooping around has given me just the clue I needed to make it through the next few days. I feel like my finger is sending out a beacon for it. Ping! Ping! Ping! Did any of you gain sharper eyes just before your engagement? <3

hahaha, this was such a cute read, I love it!
I didn’t, my Fiance proposed spur of the moment (3 weeks after saying he wouldn’t be proposing for another 2 to 5 years) the night before my last day in the states for a year.
I will admit that my initial response was ‘You know, I can’t tell if you are joking or serious so I’m just going to ignore you.’

I have been doing some “detective work” in my apartment for two weeks now. No luck. Usually he is TERRIBLE at hiding things. This time, I am honestly impressed. After he proposes I will have to ask where he hid the ring because I’m at my wit’s end as to where he put it. Honestly though, I’m glad I didn’t find it. I actually don’t know what it looks like, and even though I have a hunch which one he picked, I want to be surprised when he opens that box and I see the ring for the first time in person. 🙂 But good luck on the waiting game! I’ve known my boyfriend has had the ring since the end of January and I think he is going to propose while we’re in Paris next week!!

Yep. Tore. The. Place. Apart. We went to a hotel for my birthday weekend, and I figured he’s propose, so I tore the room apart too when he was in the shower. Turns out it was hidden in the spare tire in the trunk of his car for about a week. He went go “get ice” and snuck out to the car to get it.

BAHAHA! This is AWESOME! I love the detective work! We always think we’re so muc smarter than them, don’t we? And yet every once and awhile they can pull one over on us….
Congrats, by the way!
