Mrs_BunInTheOven:  Can I ask why you care what she thinks? It really only matters if you and the man who put it on you thinks!!!! Shes prob. Jealous. Does she have a ring? If so is in any comparison to yours? (Not that it should matter, but in her mind it may) I wouldnt let it get to you. I think its only ever to much if you think its to much!! Point blank, no one else opinion matters!!! Love your ring and enjoy its envy!!!!

Mrs_BunInTheOven:  hmmmmm! Sounds very much like she’s jealous. I’m guessing she’s not engaged, or she is or is married and has a smaller ring? Not saying bigger rings are better all are different but this sounds like the sort of thing this person would think…. She is secretly jealous of you and putting you down to make herself feel better.

lovely ring by the way. Be proud of that bling!!!

I think your ring is beautiful! And if I ever thought anyone’s ring was “too much” or anything negative, I would just not say anything. How rude of her. She is probably jealous. You should have replied “I guess my hubby must love me TOO MUCH” lol.

But seriously, if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing.

You can never have “too much” lol! Your ring is beautiful. She was probably jealous because she knows she’ll nevr have something that beautiful.

It’s not too much. It’s just right. She’s too much.

She can honestly kick rocks . Your ring, your choice, your happiness. That was rude to say anyway.

Yeah, I feel that this thread was just a thread looking for people to say, “OH NOOO YOUR RING IS PERFFFF.” If you love it, rock it. Who the fuck cares what people think? I think you could have taken this question to family or friends and have gotten that same answer, but hey, looking for hundreds of compliments is fine too.

Lol at all of this. I, too, hate the whole, “If someone says they don’t like your ring, they MUST be overcome with jealousy!” Since when did a difference in taste automatically mean you want what the other person has?

FutureMrsO_MyImSoLucky:  Yes, but in the OP’s original post, it sounds like her co-worker was being a total bitch. You don’t insult someone’s ering with an unwarranted opinion just because it isn’t your taste, especially someone you have to work with everyday.

But yes, this post is a blatant fish for compliments. That is okay though. What else are the ring boards good for?

Bridey77:  Your last point was a good one. I suppose the ring boards are often an opportunity to seek compliments from other bees.

I guess it’s the way OP (and many others) go about it that doesn’t sit right with me. If a bee is looking for compliments, I’d rather she just be straight-forward about it instead of using a story about a random person “insulting” her ring. Half the time, I wonder if these stories are made-up. And if I’m not left questioning the legitimacy of the story, I’m wondering why the OP cares enough about these random ring insults that she is inclined to post on here.
