wow! how rude. people are NUTS! i like your ring a lot. one of my best friends has a ring that is similar and you can’t even tell it’s a “quad” cut, or whatever. that girl was just being a YOU KNOW WHAT.
a girl at my work once told me flat out that she had no idea that i had gotten engaged because my ring was so small. uhhh……….
by the way, she’s still single.

@firemanslady – Thank you! and WOW what a freakin biotch to say that to you! That’s just flat out mean. I’m sure your ring is beautiful!

First of all, your ring is absolutely and totally beautiful! I think the girl at the store is a rude, obnoxious brat. (actually she’s something else that begins with the b word, but I’ll restrain myself and not type it here)
Maybe she’s jaded by working in the jewelry store and seeing large rings; maybe it’s just an expectation for her. I’m curious what type of jewelry she was wearing, if she is married; what type of ring she was wearing. Curious about her clothing and hair. My guess is that she isn’t married; thinks she’s all that and a bag of chips but really isn’t. (ohhh, my claws are coming out) I don’t know you, but it just infuriates me that she was so rude and hateful to you. She is just jealous of you.

@Maggie Mae – Thanks girl, that’s so sweet! I didn’t notice her wearing a wedding ring, or any ring at all for the matter, so she may very well be single. But, with that kind of attitude, I can definitely see why!

That was not nice and I think she was jealous that you are engaged and she is not…
Anyway I agree with everyone: MEAN PEOPLE SUCK!!!!!

What a betch!!! I would have probably went off on her….But I think you handled it the right way. And your ring is gorgeous!!! I love the round diamonds on the band.

One thing I find funny is that she mentioned trading in her ring without consulting her Fiance about it at all. I know that if I spent the kind of money that I’m sure he spent on it, that I would be pretty pissed off about that. Sounds like she’s rude/inconsiderate in all aspects of her life. Oh and I didn’t even get a diamond. My Fiance put thought into it and got an emerald, my fav color, stone and my birth stone. Although, people definitely noticed that it wasn’t a diamond and I got a few comments about him not being able to afford a real ring. It was a bit off-putting, but the people who said that weren’t close and I just said “well, you must not know us then.” and usually walked away or changed the conversation.

That is awful, and your ring is stunning. Some girls just can’t help hid their jealousy or can’t stand to see others happy. Take consolation in the fact that you have someone who loves you unconditionally and that you would never treat another human like that.
It’s women like her that drive people to extreme action and hatred.
