I have still never forgiven him, and that was 11 years ago.
I’d have to say it would be different for every person, but I suppose I’m alluding to an experience that mirrors the same impact as what my husband and I went through. I never in a million years would have imagined we’d be the ones to get pregnant and then lose a baby so far along to a congenital defect– it’s made me contemplate myself, our relationship, our lives in a greater sense, as well as deal with emotions that were overwhelming and consuming, to say the least.
I’m not saying I wish our pain on anyone, but I am saying that sometimes, life kicks you in the throat, and you learn a lot about yourself and those around you as you recover from it.
As a result of things that transpired at work today..I can think of at least two people that deserve a kick in the ass Or as my dad says “A belt in the mouth and a boot in the ass”
iarebridezilla: The reality is that he probably did experience violence/abuse and learned his behavior from someone in his life. Violence is never the answer. Ever.
Laurenplusalex: I’m really discouraged to hear that you’re in graduate school for child protection and would advocate physically beating anyone. Words have power, and your words as a future potential CP worker have that much more power.
I’m usually not an advocate for violence, but I can definitely think of a few people who would benefit from having the $*#% beat out of them.
