My husband’s penis size was fine and sometimes (pre-baby) I wished he was a little bigger. After my son was born I sometimes I feel like he is now too long and it hurts. This continued after I got an IUD in and then taken out at 9 months postpartum. I feel like most of the time I can’t do certain positions because the deep penetration hurts. I guess I explained it away with its the IUD, or the fact that i’m breastfeeding, or x/y/z excuse, but now my son is 2.5 and I think maybe my anatomy has changed, my uterus is lower or something. Anyone else?

Have you asked a gynecologist about this?

Rhopalocera : I have mentioned it, but there has been a lot going on in my health history so it is kind of hard to pinpoint any one thing. We are starting to work with an RE so I will mention it again.

Not the same situation – but I’m a small lady and there are certian positions we get into and I have to say no sorry, not today. It’s not fun when it’s hitting my cervix!

I have no idea of this is could be the issue for you but I had a friend who after she was stitched up the sex was painful and it turned out there was an issue with being stitched too tight

MrsBG : I would recommend talking to your doctor about this, too. I’m so sorry that you’re having continuing pain! TBH things didn’t start feeling back to normal for me until my cycles returned, which was 15 months postpartum. I had an episiotomy during labor (so, stitches to heal and then some scar tissue in the muscle) and breastfed my son until 18 months postpartum. Breastfeeding definitely made sex very uncomfortable for me. Have you fully weaned yet? Are your cycles back? If not, that might make a difference for you.

There are pelvic floor physical therapists who you can see who can look into this in more depth – I’d ask your OB/GYN for a recommendation!

LLEU : yeah I stopped breastfeeding shortly after my son turned one. So I don’t think that is it.
The pain is more ore near my cervix/uterus. I had a tear that was stitched near the opening but that doesn’t bother me at all. Seems to be worse/more frequent between ovulation and my period.

I was going to suggest seeing a Pelvic Floor PT as well. Look into Pelvic Floor Dysfunction and see if the symptoms sound the same.
