They’re diriving me insane. 🙁
I have not changed shaving gel or razor brands. I have however changed my deodorant. Its the same name but its a scented one. (Secret, vanilla.)
Why have they been itchy lately? As in over a month. 🙁 I have to reapply deodorant not because its not working but hoping it will help the itching. They’re not broke out or showing any signs.

omg i have this. Its probably that you have sensitive skin and the deodorant is bugging it.
And for some reason i never thought about that….but i just started a new thing of deodorant and their going insane. So clearly thats the issue!

You might be allergic to the chemicals in the scented deoderant. I would switch back to your normal, unscented one and see if that helps.

I bet this is the problem. I didn’t think it would be since its the same name, but it is scented. Poo, I loved that scent. 🙁 Oh well! Body spray works great for that problem! lol

I use Secret and same problem! I use Clinical though, light and fresh scent. I am allergic to everything so really no surprise to me here.

Also, this sounds weird, but it could be yeast. Changes in weather, working out, tight clothing, stress, steroids, or other things that might affect your immune system or the environment of your arm pits (what a weird phrase) can result in a skin-deep yeast infection.

@Balboa: I actually get yeast infections (down there) very often due to having diabetes! Wow, thanks so much for this information I would have never known!

@Sweet.Sugar.Rose: Glad to be of service. Hopefully, you’re just allegric to the vanilla Secret, since it won’t take a prescription to get rid of that. 🙂 But yeah, diabetes can totally result in skin issues! http://www.diabetes.org/living-with-diabetes/complications/skin-complications.html

I have intertrigo (yeast infections of skin folds, in my case my underarms) and it is bright red. When it’s really bad it is also weepy and bleeds. It does get really itchy, but it doesn’t sound like that’s what you have.
Take a break from your deodorant (I was told to use nothing at all) for a day or 2 if you can, then go back to the unscented one. It sounds like you’re just allergic to the new stuff.

It is probably from shaving and using deodorant. I hate to say it, because it is against society so-to-say, but there is research on how bad shaving and wearing deodorant is. Again, I sound like a bleeding-heart hippie, so I tend to not bother saying anything. I use an electrical razor and natural deodorant, so I’m not totally out there 🙂
I used to use secret vanilla and I got a cyst! In my armpit! I had to get antibiotics at Urgent care. It was terrible. So that is why I have been “reformed” and am bothering to post. Also, I used secret clinical and itched SO BADLY after shaving/ applying I couldn’t sleep! That sealed the natural deal for me :/

I one time used degree and my armpits were so itchy it was maddening. It took almost a week after I stopped using it for them to stop itching. When I told my sister she said the same thing happened to her! I wish she would have told me sooner!
I feel bad for you that was so annoying.

I have had this happen! For me, it was using Degree deodorant. I switched back to Secret, and I was fine. It is so annoying and frustrating! I would visit a dermatologist if you switch back to your old one and it still happens.

I tried using Secret because they have some neat scents, and I got itchy too! I switched back to my Ban roll-on, and the itching slowly went away.

@Sweet.Sugar.Rose: Maybe it’s the weather, or the new deodorant.

Oh dang! I would switch deodorants. Even though I dont have “sensitive skin”, after switching to a deodorant for sensitive skin I have had zero issues with my pits.
