It was actually my mom who seem it. So it’s kind of embarrassing on a few different levels.

How petty, they are probably jealous and instead of saying something nice they have to be rude about it! There are so many rings out there that look like the same rings you can get at any jewelry shop but have been tweaked in some way, so I don’t understand what their angle was… but I wouldn’t let it worry you too much! If it’s something you love that’s all that matters as you are the one wearing it! I say good for you for taking something you liked and turning it into something you love! Would love to see it!
So someone your mom knows and has on facebook posted about it? Wow you both really need to cull your facebook friends if you have people like that as friends. I don’t understand why it is embarrassing that it was your mom who seen the post, there is nothing to be embarrassed about because someone doens’t like your ring and was mean about. Their behaviour was the embarrassing thing.
I wouldn’t have lowered yourself to joining the group and “defending” yourself, I’m not sure what you hoped to gain by that but whats done is done. Maybe share less on the internet in future, your data and photos are not your own and you have no control over how others may use them.
Screenshot I got of it this morning.
My mom was actually part of a ring shaming group before and got kicked because she used to comment that the rings were nice and that’s ‘against the rules’.
Just another reason why I Never post pictures on the internet
This is so gross. Why do people do this? Who the hell cares??
I’m sorry this happened to you, someone who would do that to you isn’t worth an ounce of your energy.
Ugh
Nobody should be shamed for the ring they have! I just made a ring appreciation post. Hopefully people will post pictures so we can all share and appreciate all the variety of rings. Feel free to post 🙂
Does your mom know the person who posted the ring? That person should be blocked. This is so disrespectful
Oh jeez! You know what, some people, for whatever reason, just can’t feel happy unless they’re tearing other people apart. That’s just how some people operate, and that’s not your problem.
Just feel sorry for them and move on! Enjoy your life and your beautiful ring.
At least it’s over.
