You’ve been married since March and are still harping on the negative things people said to you when you were engaged?  That’s really unfortunate.

Honestly, I had no one say negative things to me about our wedding.  Or, if they did, I didn’t focus on it because it didn’t matter to me or my H.

@honeybee1999:  Hahaha Honeybee!  My answer would have been, “Because H didn’t want to!”

I don’t ever want to get married because i only want to do it big and that is to expensive

I don’t want to get married because if it doesn’t work out i’ll be divoirced.

Marriage doesn’t mean anything, having kids is so much more special

My mom is the worst!

She give me money and then says; i would never spend so much money on a wedding it’s a total waste.

When Fiance wanted to use a family stone for the ring we couldn’t have it. It is in a necklace that nobody wears. My mom said she never wanted a solitaire because she is clumpsy and get’s got on things. Now she tells me super happy that she is using the diamond in a ring for herself! Yes it will be so low maintenance and low at 2crts lol

@SamanthaLovesJames:  OMG!!! This scares the bejeezes out of me! I just got engaged in August and since our wedding isn’t until 2014, I haven’t had any negative comments yet, but it’s definitely something I’m DREDDING in the future!

I don’t get some of these? So some people have expressed their personal opinion (such as their opinion on marriage for themselves)?  Or asked a question (the white dress thing)? How is that raining on anyones parade?

@j_jaye:

I guess from some people you know they are not telling the truth, that they are saying this because they are not getting married.

@Cookie86:  So are you sayign that if anyone says something you don’t like about marriage in general  or your wedding that they are jealous? Thats a pretty paranoid way to live!

“Do you know the majority of marriages end in divorce?”

“You sure you wanna marry him?”

@j_jaye:  Ofcourse not, these are people that i know. I’ll give some examples. It has nothing to do with being paranoid, that was uncalled for. I am one of those people that rearely thinks anyone is jealous of me but with the wedding i noticed it alot

Marriage doesn’t mean anything, having kids is so much more special.

– Dating her Boyfriend or Best Friend for 10 years and he doesn’t want to get married

I would never spend so much money on a wedding it’s such a waste

– My mom got married twice on a low budget. She never had the money for it and now she does and sees me getting our dream wedding (stil not spending more than average).

I don’t ever want to get married because i only want to do it big and that is to expensive

I don’t want to get married because if it doesn’t work out i’ll be divoirced

– She wat totally into getting married but het Boyfriend or Best Friend doesn’t want to.

These were all out of the blue remarks, not in a conversation.

Here’s a funny one. My plumber was like are you getting married to the guy that doesn’t fix this leaking bathroom within a week? And he was serious. I don’t mind because i don’t know him. Comments from my family and friends are different.
