My engagement ring is a sapphire with diamonds…so that’s going to be my something blue!  Works out perfectly πŸ™‚

Well, I not really sure if you’re supposed to do them for a vow renewal, but I have already picked them out! πŸ™‚

Something old~ I’m planning on wearing the same earrings I wore on our wedding day {7years ago by the time we renew our vows}

Something new~ my dress

Something borrowed~ Not sure…probably a piece of jewelry. We have a friend who owns a jewelry store, so he said I can borrow whatever I want.

Something blue~ I’m planning on cutting up the blue silk suit I wore when we eloped and having the florist wrap the stems of my flowers with the fabric. If I have my dress made, I’m also going to ask the designer to sew a piece of the fabric into some part of the dress.

Yea, I wore sapphire jewelry on the day of the wedding so those were my something blue! But, I also packed blue underwear as a back-up.

I wanted something different than the garter for "something blue" and I first bought a blue rhinestone hairclip, but not sure if I am going to use that.  Then I saw "I Do" rhinestone shoe applique, and I love them!!   you can get them at

As of right now, I have blue shoes. We’ll see if that changes. I might make my own blue garter.

Otherwise, my Something Borrowed will be one of my BMs veils. (Super savings there!) My Something Old will be a three gold pins, linked together with chain that I wore in a photo as a child, probably on my bouquet. I’m also thinking of using some of the tulle or fabric from my mother’s gown to wrap around my bouquet. My Something New will most definately be the dress.

As of right now, I have a blue garter but it’s one that the bridal shop gave me when I bought my dress so I may take it apart and redo it. I also have an old handkerchief with blue flowers that I may carry.

I’m using a pin I’ve had since I was a baby (I blogged about this one), and the Etsy seller who made my garters sewed a blue heart on the back of my keepsake garter.  I think that’s it!

My definite something blue is my engagement ring, it’s blue topaz. But one of my wedding colors is also blue so I’m sure there will be lots of something blues.

I really want Carrie’s "Something Blue" Manolos but I could never spend that much on shoes. I will figure out to DIY them!

I have some cute panties that say ‘I Do’ and have a blue bow on them from Victoria’s Secret, but I’m debating about whether I want something that I can actually show people/have in pictures (I don’t need any pictures of me in my undies!) My birthstone is aquamarine, so I’ve thought about that. And I’ll have a KU garter, so there will be blue on that if nothing else!

Im doing a blue shoe & supper excited about it.  It’s not something that people would expect from me.  I’m kinda a traditionalist, and this is not traditional at all…lol
