I did it jsut because I thought it was fun! There was no blue in our wedding. I painted my toes an awesome shade of blue and I wore blue lace panties from VS. I felt really sexy wearing blue because it felt more bridal to me! I also wore a blue lingerie get up on our wedding night.

My something blue are my shoes.  They don’t match anything colorwise but I really don’t care. I love them and they were the very first thing I purchased, (before we were even engaged).  On the other hand I’m not really a matchy matchy person so I’m not too concerned about every detail matching a color scheme.

I’m not going to have anything borrowed thought.  There is nothing I need and nothing I want to borrow.  Oh well.

Blue is the actual color of purity- girls used to marry in blue, and still do in Ireland. It’s just a fun tradition. There was no blue in our wedding but I wore blue heels! It was fun ๐Ÿ™‚

What do you understand about old and borrowed? How is that any different? Just curious. They’re all in the same category to me…. If you’re going have the other three, why not that one?

I will be wearing something blue, I’m not sure what yet. I’m thinking about some cute vs undies. I just really like the tradition ๐Ÿ™‚

@PitBulLover: Painting your toes blue is actually a really good idea. I wasn’t planning on doing anything blue but that’s a fun hidden way that you could actually tell people, not like the whole thong thing ๐Ÿ™‚

@Mrs.LilyLunaLove:Also, like other PPs have stated your “something blue” doesn’t have to be visible. My garter even has a little bluebow sewn in on the underside of it. It could really be anything.

I’m also doing the blue shoes (doesn’t match a single thing in our wedding) and I’m going to be using a necklace Fiance got me for Christmas with both our birthstones in it (diamond and sapphire) as decoration in my bouquet.

@kala_way: yes I loved showing people my blue toes! And they lasted forever. Its now my favorite color to paint my toes. Only a few people knew about the blue panties though haha

My seamstress actually color codes the bustle clips and says she always makes one of them blue, just because she’s sentimental.  I’m planning on finding blue undies or something, just because it’s fun.  I wouldn’t kill myself trying to make it fit, but it’s a cute tradition so why not?

I’m not going to go out of my way. It just seems like something else to worry about/ buy.
