something old, something new, something barrowed, something BLUE
Is anyone planning or has wore blue heels but not have blue colors in wedding? I don’t want people to be thrown off from the style and theme of the wedding. I am afraid to do this and people won’t get it and wonder why the hell I chose blue shoes. what are your opinions on this?
The colors for my wedding are coral, peach, and pink with either gray/champagne and I’m not sure how it would look like if I wore blue heels for “something blue”
Another idea I found on pinterest was getting non blue heels and on the bottom of the shoe put “I DO” in blue jewels. Would this be enough for “something blue”? would this option be better or should I forget about both options?

Both blue shoes and the “i do” are incredibly popular. You certainly wouldnt be the first, and it’s been done in weddings without blue shoes. I’d do it if you want to.

ok I think I should have done reserach before I posted this because like you said it is pretty common. I wonder how I missed that.

If your wedding colors arent blue I wouldnt suggest doing blue shoes. My color is blue so I do have blue shoes, a blue sash, blue roses and sapphire jewelry so I’ll have plenty of “something blue”. The “I Do” in blue jewels on your shoe is very popular. Some people also try embroidering your monogram or wedding date on the inside of the gown in blue thread if your planning on keeping your dress after the wedding. Or if your dress isnt super thin material like chiffon or charmeusse can always wear blue underwear.

It really doesn’t matter what color your wedding colors are. Brides now a days wear all sorts of different colored shoes ie, red, yellow, pink.. etc. It’s just a matter of how you invision your wedding look to be. I wanted my “something blue” to be my shoes as well. 🙂
