Today my mom asked me about the little list: Something new, blue, old, and borrowed.
My something new is the gorgeous neckalce and earrings my dad gave me.
Something blue are my very “leslie” sky high heels
Something old is the veil my aunt gave me that she wore at her wedding
Now the problem, something borrowed…..What do I borrow? and from who?
Tell me ladies, what did you borrow and why (if you dont mind)?

@Armywife89: Supposedly your “something borrowed” should be from a happily married woman. If that’s the case, I’d be tempted to count your veil as “borrowed.” I have a few items that qualify as both “borrowed” and “old,” so…you could make it double-dip. Or, just make sure you’re not wearing new underwear and it count as “old.” 😛

I borrowed my SILs (DHs sister) pearl bracelet that she wore on her wedding day. Her and my BIL have been happily married for almost 7 years now and are just awesome people. They are a great couple for us to look up to in terms of what a marriage should be. It was really special to me to borrow that from her.

I am borrowing a string of my grandma’s pearls. She and my grandfather have been married 62 years!

I borrowed a handkercheif that was my great-grandmother’s from my mom, and she also loaned me an ivory handled nail file that was my other great-grandmother’s on her side.
