As the two of you begin the wonderful journey of matrimony, I wish you all of God’s blessings. Marriage is not just a ceremony, but also a lifetime commitment. I hope the love and happiness that you feel today will last until death parts you.
From experience, I can tell you there will be a lot bumps in the road, and sometimes big potholes. During those times, you will have to lean on your faith and the love that you have for each other to get you through. There will be times when it will take weeks or months to repair the road, but as long as you work TOGETHER, the repairs will be completed. The two of you are a team, and there is no “I” in team. You will have to work together always, and think about how your actions will affect the other. If one half of the team falls down, the whole team will lose. So if one half of you falls, the strong one will have to work harder and keep encouraging the weak one until he or she is able to get back on track.
Marriage is not based on rules and how you can change each other. You are individuals, and pretty what made set in your ways. When times get tough, think about what made you fall in love with each other, and focus on that. When there is a difference of opinion, the two of you will have to keep talking about it (not argue), until it is resolved. What goes on in the bedroom, stays in the the bedroom. Outsiders will only make your situation worse. Never, Never, Go To Bed Angry With Each Other.
Love one another !
