  • Wedding: August 2015

Old: Lace doily made by my great great grandma, used it to wrap around my bouquet. It was given to me just a few days before the wedding. Originally was just going to use my sixpence.

New:Anklet gifted to me by my aunt the day before the wedding, again, was just going to count something else.

Borrowed: Ring stack (3 dainty rings) from my BFF

Blue: DH’s best lady gave me a handkerchief embroidered with our date and a little blue heart.

Silver Sixpence in her Left Shoe: I had given a sixpence to my SIL at her wedding and she gave it back to me for mine, now saving it for the next family wedding!

Old – a pair of earrings my Fiance bought me many years ago now

New – my dress, my shoes and my underwear

Borrowed – my veil (it was my step mother’s)

Blue – a handkerchief from my grandmother (she wore it on her wedding day, as did her mother and grandmother on their wedding days – it also counts as borrowed but has blue in it lol)

I did it just for fun. 🙂

Old: the wedding rings of my great-grandmas on my mom’s side.
New: the dress, shoes, and jewelry
Borrowed: my petticoat was borrowed from a friend who got married in June, and a veil from another friend. (The veil has now been borrowed for at least three weddings!)
Blue: my right-hand ring my parents gave me, a bracelet from a friend, and the toes of my shoes.
Forgot all about the silver sixpence, though! Good thing I was doing it just for fun, not out of superstition.
