I just wanted to see if anyone wanted to share what their something old, new, borrowed and blue are or was for their wedding? I love these!!
My Something Old: My great great grandmas gold rings.
(My great great grandmother passed them to my mom before she passed and said to keep them and give them to me for my wedding. My whole family has been looking for these rings because they are pure gold and most of them wanted to sell them but my mom kept them secret and waited for the moment to show and tell me the story. It was a great moment)
My Something New: My custom maid Viel.
(We met this lady at our bridal show and she is the best most sweetest hearted person you will ever meet and she is making my viel from scratch with detials throughout. I can’t wait to see it)
My Something Borrowed: My mothers authentic pearls
(She wore them on her wedding day and she wants me to wear them on mine 🙂 )
My Something Blue: My WEDDING dress and Shoes!
(I am going back to the orignis ladies! None of this white dress for me)
Once I start getting pictures of them I will post them up!!

Hahahahaha I just want to say that I read this as “Something blue…. YOU?” As in the bride would be blue. Like an Avatar wedding with a weird tail-hair handfasting.
Anyway. Mine were as follows.
Old: Jewelry that my grandmother gave me when I was 16.
Borrowed: Hair-colored bobby pins from my Bridesmaid or Best Man
Blue: A sapphire ring my dad gave me when he adopted me!

@Miss Fish Your “something blue” is so sweet!
Old: my grandmother’s bracelet I got from her in high school. She doesn’t know I’m wearing it so there is going to be bawling for sure.
New: Dress, veil, etc.
Borrowed: Mom’s earrings
Blue: My sapphire e-ring

In the Uk
something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue and a sixpence in her shoe 🙂
So my something old is the locket I will attach to my bouquet, that my late Grandad gave to my Grandma, has his picture in
Something new is my dress
Something Borrowed – will wear my Mums blue topaz ring
Something Blue – my shoes 🙂
Sixpence – I found at our allotment whilst digging, it’s from the 1930’s and my Grandad also had an allotment on the same site, so felt like it was meant to be

Something borrowed: my mom’s engagement ring
Something new: My dress!
My something blue and something old are the same thing: I have a piece of my mom’s dress with my parent’s wedding date (their 30th anniversary is 30 days after our wedding!)and our wedding date stitched in blue thread, and it is being sewn to the left breast of my dress (right over my heart :))
I’m also getting blue underwear made with “Mrs Wilson” on the back

Something borrowed: My grandfather’s memorial badge (He was a police officer and he passed away last year. My mom is letting me borrow his small memorial badge to attach to my bouquet). Probably also something from Future Mother-In-Law.

This was the only tradition/superstition I cared about doing for my wedding.
old: both my wedding and engagement ring (the first is a family heirloom, the second is estate) and my necklace (my aunt made it for me using my great aunt’s crystals).
new: dress, veil, shoes, wrap
borrowed: my sister’s diamond stud earrings
blue: in the brooch I had for my wrap. I never even ended up wearing it, but I did carry it around in my clutch.
