Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue…
I’m still searching for my something old and something borrowed, but I was curious…What are the rest of you doing for your old, new, borrowed, and blue. Anyone throwing the tradition out all together? I think it’s a sweet and fun little ritual that I want to participate in 🙂 Any ideas y’all may have for a something old/borrowed?

My mom still has her wedding dress hanging in her closet, so we’re going to cut a piece off of that, and wrap it around the base of my bouquet for my something old.

I think it’s a nice way to incorporate or honor special people in your life. My “old” will be a vintage piece of jewelry from my grandmother and my “borrowed” will be a piece of jewelry from my mom. It’s not original, but I love the idea of having something belonging to these two special women with me on my wedding day!

Old – my engagement ring. It’s from the 1920’s
new – my dress and jewelry
borrowed – anklet from one of my BM’s
blue – garter in FI’s family tartan which is predominantly blue
and I will be doing the six pence in my shoe 🙂

We brew beer for fun and Are doing a twist on this
Something old: aged beer made with old hops
Something New: new recipie
Something borrowed: borrowed recipie
Something blue: blueberry stout
Maybe not quite traditional but I’m marrying into an Irish family so it is fitting for us 🙂
