Please take a look at my post from a few houses ago here for a little background:
http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/im-pretty-sure-im-seeing-things#axzz2O1EG6lB3
Something told me to whip out another cheapie test and FRER… these results were within a couple minutes of testing.
As mentioned in my other post, I miscarried at 6 weeks naturally on February 24th (3 weeks, 2 days ago). DH and I were intimate 3 days in a row (9, 10 and 11 days ago). Have not gotten my me trial cycle back after the MC so I have no idea when my O date will be or if it has already passed.
Thank you, Bees, for being patient with me. I appreciate any and all of your comments!

@BearyLovely: I don’t really know alot about miscarriages or how long it takes for the levels from the pregnancy to go back to normal but I say you are pregnant again! Congrats! FX for sticky baby!

Have you gotten negative tests since the miscarriage? I’ve had friends that had positive tests for awhile after they miscarried.

Definite positive.
Congrats!! 🙂
ETA: I just read your comments about the miscarriage… when I had mine the doctor told me that HCG could be in my system for a while after so to make sure that a full cycle has passed before testing if I think I am pregnant.

Have you taken any other tests since your MC? My only concern is that almost 4 weeks may not be enough time for the HCG to be completely out of your system yet.

@cmbr: I took a test last week, one of the cheapie Internet ones, and it came out negative. I only took the test for exactly that reason – to see if anything came up at all since the miscarriage ended.

I would get yourself back to the doctor asap to make sure that this is infact a new pregnancy and that it’s progressing well. Good luck to you!!!!

Definitely call the doctor to make sure that this isn’t residual HCG. It is definitely a positive preg test, but technically, it is only testing for HCG, and you have a special case. Most doctors don’t recommend trying this quickly after MC (for health and horomonal confusion reasons). I’d hate for you to be super happy only to find out that it’s just residual horomones!

@BearyLovely: If that is the case then I would definitely get to the doctor to get a beta test and set up another one to make sure it is going up as it should! Good luck and fx!

@crayfish: You’re absolutely right. The last thing I need is to be confused as ever. Since my deductible is very high, I think I will take another test in the morning with my FMU the next 2 days or so to see if the line gets darker. If it does, I will schedule an appointment woth my OB. If it doesn’t, I will wait a week and test again. If it still comes out positive again I will make an appointment.
Doesn’t this waiting game stink, Bees?!

That’s definitely a positive reading but go to your doctor just to make sure it is not residual HCG. Fingers crossed 🙂

I would like to add that 9 days after my OB confirmed a MC via ultrasound, he performed another one to make sure everything had passed, which it did. He never checked my HCG levels at all, before or after the MC.

There is absolutely NO doubt there. A line is a line, and yours is getting darker throughout the day.
Congrats!!
