He’s punk goth: chains and spikes, black and red

I’m faux vintage: hats, curls and stockings, pastels and brights

He loves football, I don’t.

I love cheese (longhorn, cream cheese, provolone, mozzarella, americian, cottage cheese..you get the point lol) He will not eat cheese on anything but pizza.

@pocketful_of_flowers:  This makes me so sad! I LOVE cheese–who can NOT love cheese?

I am chatty with everyone but he is only chatty with me. I spend moderately and he spares no expense. I love to look nice and dress very classic everyday but he is obsessed with the newest, best, and the biggest everything. When he was home he laid out his clothes like he was a model going to a modeling shoot.

Umm, he’s a devout follower of Christ and I’m agnostic. :/

My husband and I are eerily similar in most aspects… except for a few random things:

1. I’m a planner. I have lists, itineraries (copies everywhere and with everyone), detailed breakdowns, step-by-step instructions, and strict timelines/deadlines, all laid out and distributed to everyone well in advance. My husband didn’t decide what time we were having our Christmas Eve meal with his family till 4 HOURS BEFORE the event took place (and did I mention that it was at OUR house? Yeah.)

2. He remembers music very well. Meaning that if he hears a song in a movie, and later hears it on the radio, he can describe the scene in the movie where they played the song. I am hopeless when it comes to remembering music.

3. He puts clothes away nicely and consistently. I create piles. My piles grow and grow till they fall over or he says something about the mountains in our bedroom and I blow through like a tornado, putting everything in my path away (where it belongs).

@Araya:  That’s exactly what I was going to say when I read your post title. I am NOT a morning person… he is lol.

@Araya:  haha we are the exact same way in the morning! We don’t live together yet, so he will call me in the morning and say “are you still in bed bum!!?” I get so mad because he knows I am and its only like 9am! lol I get super crabby every time.

Also, I get stressed out pretty easy, and usually vent by crying. It takes a lot to get him to bug out, which is nice because we usually balance each other out.

POLITICS!  It’s hilarious!  We often get in heated (friendly) debates when we’ve been drinking.  He claims he’s liberal but when he complains about work situations and money he tends to be very conservative.  I often tell him he’s just too nice to be a republican :o)  Fortunately, it’s never become a huge issue.

One of the things that has stood out to me the most is that he loves to talk on the phone with me, and if we are apart for even just one night he wants to have a 2-hour phone conversation.

I hate talking on the phone. There’s something difficult to me about having to focus on someone ‘s voice without any visuals. I get distracted, and if there isn’t anything specific to say, it’s pretty…. BORING!

But I do love that he wants to “spend time” with me, even if we’re apart. And I love that he is so willing to communicate. So, at the end of the day, I wouldn’t trade this behavior for the alternative. :}

@Araya:  Haha. I probably couldn’t even answer all of them. It isn’t the easiest, but it can work with plenty of patience and respect.

Planning. I plan and research everything to death. He does do some planning, but much faster and looser…with many more grey areas.

He likes surprises, I don’t.

He takes a long time to make a decision, even when he wants whatever it is. I don’t. I’m like GO GO GO GO. He takes a while.

I’m a total hothead and he isn’t. He’s much more tolerant than I am. I guess our differences make us work.
