Sorry for a whiny post, but I’m just so frustrated.
Losing weight is a real, real struggle for me. I’m about a size 12 but you know every bride-to-be wants to slim down for the big day. For the past two months I’ve been eating 1600 cals or less per day (vegetarian diet, high in protein, low in carbs, and no caffeine), and excercising five times per week (mixture of cardio and weightlifting). I’ve only lost 7 pounds… that’s not even one pound per week! It’s killing my self-confidence to get on the scale every day. Sometimes it ruins the whole day for me. I worked out so hard last month that I skipped a period despite being on birth control. The ob/gyn told me to back off so, while I kept going five times per week, I cut back some of my running into lower-impact cardio instead.
My wedding is in six weeks and I just want to look my best. It’s such a struggle. I just came home from (yet another) BodyPump class. It’s 9 pm and I’m tired and hungry. I snapped at my fiance and he retreated to another room just now.
Sorry for the whine… I’m just losing the battle today. 🙁
