Ugh, that sounds awful! It really seems like he needs to work less– I imagine the cough is from the constant exhaustion of his job. Is there any way he can work out a saner schedule?

I worry about my SO traveling– he’s been traveling a lot, on trips that are half business and half for fun (he’s trying to get a business off the ground that has to do with his hobby). Almost every time he goes somewhere (usually when he goes somewhere without me) he eats something that doesn’t agree with him (he tends to be less picky than he should be about food when he’s traveling) and he’ll get sick and throw up, often in inopportune places because there aren’t bathrooms available. (Sorry, gross.) It happens often and I don’t like it– I wish he’d be a little choosier about what he eats when he’s away!

I worry about him because we don’t eat right or exercise like we should.

@ladyartichoke:  Please get that cough looked into. I had a weird cough develop about 2 weeks ago myself, shrugged it off as a post-nasal drip and just kept chugging the OTC. Finally my husband said, go to the doctor, and when I did, turns out I have whooping cough, which is according to the doctor on the rise world wide right now, despite immunizations when you are younger. Long story short, I am here sitting at home for the next few weeks, trying not to aggravate my lungs and go into a coughing spasm that will cut off my air supply and make me feel like I am dying.

Sorry to threadjack, but get that cough looked at!

I worry because he works in an under ground diamond mine on a tiny island in the middle of a lake…. in the tundra’s of canada. Picture attatched so you can see how crazy it is, keep in mind that ‘pit’ is like 1/8th of whats under the ground. YES all that frozen stuff is a lake

@MrsHoneyC:  At least the fruits of his labor can be enjoyed all over these threads.

Let’s see… what do I worry about… I worry he’s going to get moody (IE Depressed) now that the sun is going into hibernation for the winter.

@EffieTrinket:  He works 12 – 14 hour days for 2 weeks up there 2 weeks home, so its not too bad, but its a lot of hard / scary work so that ladies can have their sparkles.

He doesn’t eat if I don’t make him sit down & eat whatever I’ve prepared. When left to his own devices, he won’t eat for 24 hours, then he’ll go buy some clearance meat at the grocery store & a bag of cinnamon gummy bears.

Mine does the same thing (run on what would appear to be zero). I think he must be wired differently than me. Then again to be fair I have done the same in the past, just not for such long time periods as he does.

As for your SO’s cough I’m sorry to hear that… hopefully it’s nothing, but especially if he’s inclined to ignore such things, I’d keep an eye on it.

@MrsHoneyC: whoa! Looks intimidating! Does he get to see…… diamonds in the rough????? (if you can’t tell by my nickname, I’m kinda obsessed with that concept!)
