An earlier post (about sweet random things you do for your SO) got me thinking. Full disclosure: Darling Husband is much better at this than I am, but I’m working on it.
Darling Husband is hypoglycemic, and often forgets to eat. (A crappy combination.) So I just called him up, because I remembered he has a meeting at his regular lunchtime on Wednesdays, so I wanted to make sure he ate beforehand, since he wouldn’t be able to for the next couple of hours.
It was like this:
Me: “Hey Hon, I was just calling to check on you, because I know you have a meeting soon. Did you eat?”
Him: “It’s weird that you even know that.”
Me: “It’s Wednesday, isn’t it? You always have a meeting.”
Him: “How do you know that?”
It’s not like I went through his phone or anything, he tells me about his work day every day. Eventually I was bound to catch on!

Ha, that is funny. And very nice of you to remind him to eat. But, yes, sometimes they can just have something right in front of them and not put two and two together. Women are way more into details – can be frustrating for sure!

My Fiance is in the military and always wants full disclosure of what is going on but I dont tell him anything serious because he has enough to deal with. When I do tell him the small things he says to me I wants to hear more and if or when I do tell him he forgets. I dont tell him most of the time because he wants to find a solution like I am here sitting on a rock not knowing what to do. He has a series of questions that never end I feel like I am defendant on trial. So I politely change the subject and distract him with questions about his men….:) hahaha He can be so difficult I feel they really do have MMS men menstral syndrome…hahaha
