Aw, that’s lovely!

Not as sentimental but after my mom came to see our reception venue she wrote to her sisters about it and said “they’ve chosen quite a nice reception venue actually!”. It means a lot to me to get my mom’s praise like that. We’re not overly sentimental people.

Oh, and today she was chatting to her friend on the phone and I came in halfway through the conversation. She was excitedly telling her friend about all the things we’ve planned for the wedding and telling her that she hoped that she would make it and it was going to be so much fun. Hehe. My mom is so cute when she gets excited.

Aww!

My mom was so excited for me to enter a photography contest she found the other day… it required a story about basically, hardships in the relationship. So I sent it and told her… she wanted to hear the story, which is unusual for her! I knew it would make her cry, though 🙁

That is the cutest story!! Awww!!

I LOVE my parents!! Whereas, sometime we don’t see things eye to eye, I’m grateful that they’re so supportive and helping me plan my dream wedding ;]

Oh, and on the funny side of things… I showed her my wedding website before and on each page is a “fun fact…” on the guest book page, there was a fun fact about how we want a puppy in the near future. She offered, in her comment on my guestbook, to ship us their “stray” cat they’ve sort of adopted.

Oh, mom.

While I posted a vent about my MOB today, I should totally balance that with how completely awesome my Future Mother-In-Law is. YA, she tried to make a gift registry for us – but I had a talk with her for an hour and a half yesterday where she guided me in how to deal with everything, told me she wanted to help me figure my flower problems out, and told me how excited she is to see us finally tieing the knot. It was so awesome to hear how welcoming she and Future Father-In-Law are. They are just so awesome!

@Mrsmdphd. . .Nice to know I’m not the only one that has a weird situation with the MOB. We are both so lucky to have others in our lives to balance this out, huh? Thanks for starting the thread, it also made me feel so much better.

How sweet!  2 minutes before I was about to walk down the aisle with my dad, my brother ran back to see me where I was waiting.  He gave me the biggest hug, and whispered in my ear how beautiful I was and that he loves me.  I almost broke down in tears!

Then my dad came around the corner to come get me to do our big walk.  I could tell he was already tearing up, and he could see I was almost crying too.  He looked at me and just said “we can’t talk, we’ve got to make it down the aisle.”  But right as we were coming around the corner to start down the aisle, he looked at me, smiled, and said “I love you.”  The photographer caught that exact moment with the biggest grin on my face.

Your dad will make it down the aisle, don’t worry!  In all the excitement of that big moment, your dad will probably end up helping YOU keep calm instead of bursting out in tears.  Enjoy having an amazingly wonderfully supportive dad!

You ladies ROCK

I love reading about good Mom and Dad stories

We are trying so hard…. daughter is working so many long shifts as a RN and Future hubby is swamped in med school.  So I do a lot of “screening” of posts/threads/pictures and send her things I know she is searching for or ideas I think she will use.  I’ve hit the spot several times and it makes me feel just GREAT!
