I know, it shouldn’t bug me and I am thinking way too much into this but, I have all our wedding pictures up on Facebook. People have been commenting on them like crazy which I am obviously okay with otherwise I wouldn’t have posted them. However, this one guy who is friends with my Mother-In-Law posted a comment on a picture that kinda insulted me. It was intended to be nice but he certainly didn’t think about what he was saying and certainly didn’t choose the right picture to say it on. In a picture of us and our families he posted “The brides mother-in-law is the prettiest and certainly has the prettiest dress”… WTF? First if all, why did he feel the need to go out of the way and refer to her as “the brides MIL”? Why add “the bride” to that? It just points out your rudeness even more! And, excuse me, the BRIDE is in that picture and my Mother-In-Law is the prettiest with the prettiest dress??? Seriously? There are other pictures with my Mother-In-Law w/o me or any other members of the family to choose from to post that comment. That would have been less incensitive that the picture that I am in! And if he really does think that, great! So happy for him! Why is there ever a need to point that out especially in the brides album??? Gah. Sorry. It just really bugs me. I deleted the comment and don’t plan on saying anything to him about it.

TOTALLY AGREE! Epic lack of judgment and why is he rating the people in your pics anyway? Really, really stupid thing to even think of saying, much less posting.

@Mrs Hedgehog: Ugh thats soooo incredibly rude and unnecessary. I’m sorry you had to read that after being all buzzy and happy post-wedding.
Im glad you deleted it and I hope he realizes how insensitive that was.

Ugh, what an idoit. Some people have no filter!

He was probably just someone w/ and agenda to suck up to your Mother-In-Law. I wouldn’t take it at face value.

@Melini: I am sure. But couldn’t he have picked any other picture to do it in? I mean, You can only see her face and a small part of her chest too! So it’s not like youc an even see her whole dress to be commenting on it versus mine…. Again, I know I am more offended than I should be but, gah! It just bugs me!

I agree with Melini – That’s what I thought, too.
@Mrs Hedgehog: Glad you deleted it, that was kinda rude IMO. FB has opened a whole new world of not thinking before you say (type) something. It’s made the world more rude IMO. Don’t worry too much!

One of my favorite sayings from Forest Gump is, “Stupid is as Stupid does”. Sadly, we can’t fix stupid! Delete the comment and move forward, dear!

Rude. Glad you deleted it. That was just unnecessary.

if you cant type something nice then dont post at all! – my facebook mantra

@Melini: I agree. His filter was broken and I dont believe it was meant to be a shot at you in any shape or form. If I saw it I would say “silly boy” and move on.
Or make a comment in return “I loved her dress too, I tried to get her to trade, but she didnt want to wear the bridal gown :)” A good sense of humor will always relieve stress rather than add to it.

Sounds like he has a thing for your Mother-In-Law and was thinking with something other than his brain…
Good on you for deleting it – maybe he’ll take notice and think twice (or for the first time!) before posting again.

I would just delete his comment, but I’m a passive aggressive b*tch like that. lol
Post # 15
What was he thinking, that’s beyond rude!

i wouldnt have deleted it – unless its really poor taste or racist i feel uncomfortable about censoring friends/family or friends of friends/family. the comment sounds kinda creeperish though
