Hello All My Lovely Waiting Bees!
I just wanted to share that MissCoCo got engaged yesterday! I’m still in so much shock! I wrote about it on the proposals board just a minute ago.
I want to encourage you to sincerely enjoy this part of your relationship as much as you can. I know it’s hard! But it’s funny, just as soon as I wasn’t expecting anything and just genuinely completely happy with where we were as a couple this happened.
I just wanted to say thank you all so much for being so supportive and I adore you. Engagement dust for all! <3

@ColoradoGirl: Thank you! Now that we are engaged I feel a little silly about the thoughts I used to have now and then. “Maybe he doesn’t love me enough” or “Maybe it will never happen” or my personal favorite, “Everyone is getting married but me!” lol.
It took us almost five years to get here, but in that moment it didn’t matter anymore. Things work out just the way there are supposed to, and I wish I would have calmed down a little!

Thank you for your words of wisdom. 🙂

Congrats! And I love your advice here. I’ve been trying to focus on contentment lately, and it’s made me realize we are really in a great place in our relationship, even without a ring 🙂

@ChicChick: thank you! and seriously, try just really enjoying yourself. After all, we want to marry them because we are happy and we love them, right?
@punky2786: that’s how you do it! Trust me, I know waiting is SO hard. He revealed that he wanted to do it so much sooner but it was important to him to save up enough to get me what he wanted me to have. I realize now that I would have said yes with a rubberband, but he might have had some explaining to do later!
Sometimes, true love “waits” lol

Aww I love this post. Congratulations!! Thank you for the advice 🙂 I know I sometimesbreed a kick in the pants to slow down and just be happy. I think that helps the time go by faster too since you’re just being happy and not whittling down the months (weeks, days, hours, minutes).

Congrats! Such good advice, have been telling myself just to calm down and enjoy our relationship as it is now…easier said than done though, every now and then those sneaky frustrations of wanting an engagement come creeping up! 🙂
