Everyone in my office is pretty shocked. She has been my direct supervisor for over a year, and I have no idea what’s going to happen once she’s gone. She’s the fifth person to quit this year. Our office is seriously falling apart.

Yikes…someone better get to the route of the problem!

sounds like the company may be a sinking ship…..

Yikes, this happened at my last job, except my boss was demoted and then got into such a huge fight with the company president, that they fired her and then her daughter. That was the beginning of the end for the office and eventually I had to leave because turnover was out of control.

How many people in your company?

That happened at two jobs I had in the past and then things got worse and I left. I hope it gets better for you.

Maybe its time to start looking for other opportunities. If things are truely falling apart at your office, you don’t want to go down with the ship.

It’s a very small company, so there’s only about 30 people. One of our co-workers died this spring, and since then, things have been very tense around here. Four people have quit and one has retired since January. It also seems to be all the nicer people that are quitting, while the meaner people are staying behind.
Trust me, this was only supposed to be temporary. I was planning to leave way before any of this happened. Part of me thinks I should stick it out until the end of the year or next spring because my SO is graduating this December, and then our lease is up in March. It will all depend on where we find work and where we want to move to. I seriously hate it here and I would leave today if I didn’t need the health care and money for rent. Sigh.
