With the help of the hive I have decided to include my 2 year old son in the unity candle lighting ceremony. Now I need a fabulous song to play during that special time. Anybody know of any songs? I want something to convey that it will be a family walking out of the church that day, not just a couple. Someone had suggested “He didn’t have to be” by Brad Paisley (real tearjerker) but I didn’t know if it was too much. Let me know ladies. You haven’t let me down yet! lol

Hm… “He didn’t have to be” is a great song, but I say something a little more focused on a family becoming one because of parents love would be better. That Brad Paisley song is more geared toward the son’s feelings for the dad, which isn’t exactly the best wedding song. (Maybe this is something you can play at the reception?)
Do you want country music for sure?

I agree, that’s why I was hesitating on it. No, it doesn’t have to be a country song. We are including christian, country, some Nat King Cole in our reception music…pretty much anything goes. So really any genre is ok.
